360° logistics in export operations
Comark d.o.o is the Slovenian company partner Transpack Group specialized in the logistics of industrial projects which, for over 20 years, operates in the transportation of exceptional cargoes all around the world.
At the beginning of the year, following the global competitors competing on the way to their quota, Comark d.o.o. established a new partnership with the Liburnia Maritime Agency. The experience of Libuarnia in worldwide competitive chartering and brokerage combined with Comark’s multimodal transport solutions will lead to greater competitivity in providing tailor-made logistics services at international level.
As one of our first mutual collaborations after the established partnership, Comark had organized for its client a full scope customized solution for a shipment of one 200t transformer and approximately 1000 cubic meters of equipment.
To ensure the safest transport for the loose goods and spare parts we also provided our client with used containers including stuffing and lashing of the goods into containers at our warehouse premises in Zagreb. For that purpose, we were working closely with our sister company Ecotec who is a market specialist in seaworthy packaging.
All other equipment had been safely packed into wooden boxes which were manufactured following of a meticulous plan for construction and therefore obtaining optimal weight distribution and sturdiness of the boxes for enabling many transshipments on the voyage to its final buyer, but also safe stowing into the vessel. Furthermore, packages prone to corrosion have been further protected with CLIMA Foil packaging.
Comark organized smooth road and rail transport and obtaining of necessary OOG cargo permits and escorts on the route to the Rijeka. In Rijeka port, the cargo was received by Liburnia, custom cleared and transhiped on a heavy lift vessel which Liburnia chartered from Rijeka Croatia to Ashdod Israel and also acted as the vessel’s agent.
The transformer and all the equipment was loaded in one single day and arrived at the destination in just 2 weeks.
